BTCRECOVER / EDITORIAL POLICY

Editorial method, attribution and test evidence

How KeychainX prepares this independent BTCRecover resource, distinguishes tested examples from guidance, and handles corrections.

Who publishes this site

KeychainX operates gurnec.com as an independent educational resource and links to its own recovery services. This commercial relationship is disclosed throughout the site. The tutorials are not official BTCRecover documentation and do not imply endorsement by Christopher Gurnee or the maintained project’s contributors.

Christopher Gurnee (gurnec) receives credit for the original BTCRecover project. The maintained 3rdIteration project and its contributors receive credit for the software and documentation used here. We do not list either as an author of our independent articles.

How this edition was prepared

This edition was drafted and implemented with AI assistance for KeychainX. Public primary sources were checked and the published candidate exercises were executed locally. We do not claim that every instruction has received an independent human technical review or that every supported wallet has been tested here.

Articles distinguish upstream instructions, explanatory calculations and measured results. Each article links its sources. Original examples use synthetic inputs. The laboratory provides the exact inputs, expected outputs, environment and source revision; its scope is deliberately narrow.

Dates and revisions

The visible update date records this content edition, not an assurance that every external link will always describe the same software. Our laboratory pins a Git commit. General tutorials link to current upstream documentation because supported dependencies and wallets can change. Recheck those instructions before a real recovery.

A change to the site should update the affected material and its evidence together. Reproducing the candidate exercises on another release may expose a changed behavior; preserve that difference instead of silently changing the expected result.

Corrections and requests for help

Email mail@keychainx.io with the page URL, the statement or command that needs attention, the software revision and a synthetic reproduction if available. Do not send seed phrases, private keys, real candidate lists or unrequested wallet attachments.

For wallet recovery help, describe the wallet application, the backup type and what is missing. KeychainX can discuss an appropriate next step; this website does not guarantee a recovery outcome.

Site behavior and privacy

The resource filter and count calculator operate in the browser. This edition adds no analytics scripts, third-party fonts or wallet-upload features. The calculator accepts counts, not recovery secrets. Hosting services may keep ordinary access logs; this statement is about the website features, not a promise that a web visit is anonymous.
