ABOUT THIS FIELD GUIDE
Clear guidance.
Credit where it belongs.
An independent resource by KeychainX
Gurnec.com is a tutorial and reference website operated by KeychainX. It helps wallet owners understand BTCRecover, prepare sensible searches, and find the relevant upstream documentation.
This is not the official BTCRecover website and is not a website of Christopher Gurnee, whose GitHub handle is gurnec. KeychainX does not claim authorship of BTCRecover or endorsement by its maintainers.
The project behind the guides
BTCRecover is an open-source project with contributions from many people. Visit the original gurnec repository for its history and the maintained 3rdIteration repository for current code. The maintained documentation remains the primary technical reference.
Our tutorials are written as practical companion guides. Each links to its sources. We link to software downloads at the project itself instead of hosting repackaged binaries.
What this website does
This site publishes educational pages and an index of external resources. Search and filters operate within your browser. There are no wallet upload forms or seed-entry fields. The search-space calculator uses only numeric choice counts; it does not run wallet recovery.
For recovery work, use only wallets you own or are authorized to recover, preserve originals, and keep private material in a trusted local environment. Recovery depends on your evidence and search constraints and cannot be guaranteed.
